Vezers-PIC number one objective is to provide "Customer Satisfaction".
This is accomplished by instituting World Class Installation Operations based
upon ongoing training for employees on all levels. Management and
supervisory personnel typically receive eight hours of classroom training
Prospective new hires must attend an eight hour millwright "Short Course"
covering a multitude of skills required for working in an industrial
environment. Tests are also administered on a variety of other subjects
such as mechanical aptitude
Specific training is also administered on equipment such as a rotary kiln
and dryers, reciprocating grate cooler, ball, rod and vertical grinding
mills, roller presses, jaw, gyratory crushers, high efficiency, separators
and process dust collectors, compressors, pumps and various types of
pneumatic conveying systems.
Normal apprenticeship programs are structured as follows:
- Start date to six months, laborer receives 16-hours classroom training.
- Six to eighteen months, apprentice category A receives 32-hours classroom training.
- Eighteen to thirty months, apprentice category B receives 50-hours classroom training.
Any employee not included in a formal program must have a minimum of seven years trade experience.
